The chart is good. The accompanying article nails it.
The article celebrates what Christian Hoff-Somers calls 'noble lies' and those of us in the anti-creationist business used to call 'lying for Jesus'. It advocates knowingly misrepresenting the truth for what one perceives as a greater good. It's a completely self-defeating strategy, because once one's credibility is shot, one's ability to persuade anyone other than the already converted is minimal. Hoberg's particularly vulnerable as an analyst embracing advocacy, for reasons that Roger laid out very well in THB.
In light of the recent behaviour of climate advocate Dr Gleick, and the subsequent vilification or borderline hero worship he's received (depending which side of the fence you are on), the above is clearly relevant and fulfils the 'many a true word spoken in jest'.
