Spot the Foul

I don't think we'll be seeing this referee again in the World Cup.

The referee lost the plot. The USA captain should have demanded an explanation before play continued, which it looks like he didn't give to anyone.

USA is very good. Tactically perfect.

Are you kidding? This is FIFA. After his performance in this game, Coulibaly's inside track to referee the final.

Gerard, you nailed it! FIFA loves this kind of stuff because 1) it keeps the scores sufficiently randomized so that every country (at least in the top 16) has a chance of winning and 2) US fans will rally against the Refs/FIFA and actually tune into the next match.

Ha! FIFA's blocked the video. So much for openness and transparency :p

The succinct British vernacular for this is: "We wuz robbed." The grammatical and phonetic oddness of 'wuz' for 'were' is intended to portray the dialect of a typical British football fan.

It's not cricket - that is why it's called football.
